Helen Louise Warcholak

Helen Louise Briceland Warcholak, 89, of Washington, died on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care. She was born on September 7, 1924, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Earl and Margaret Crumm Briceland. A 1942 graduate of Canonsburg High School, she graduated from the Canonsburg Hospital School of Nursing, in 1946. Mrs. Warcholak worked as an RN for Canonsburg Hospital, and then retired in 1982, from the Washington County Health Center, after working there for 20 years. She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. On September 20, 1946, she married Michael Warholak, who died on February 12, 1987. Surviving are a son, Richard (Beverly) Warcholak, of Eighty-Four; 3 daughters, Deborah (Gerry) Schumacher, of Washington, Pam Corbin, of Blackwood, NJ, and Patty Harrison, of Washington; a sister, Shirley Thomas, of Houston, TX; 8 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Deceased is a brother, Edward Briceland. Friends will be received in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, on Friday, from 11 to 1 p.m., the time of services, with Rev. Lois Swestyn officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty United Methodist Church, 1330 Banetown Rd., Washington, PA 15301, or Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care, 835 South Main St., Washington, PA 15301.
