Doris Mae Beeler Jones Lynn, 83, of Washington, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014, in Townview Health and Rehabilitation, Canonsburg. She was born May 24, 1931, in Monongahela, a daughter of Harold Beeler and Doris Yoders Beeler. Mrs. Lynn graduated from Bentleyville High School and Penn Commercial. She worked in the auto industry throughout her life, retiring from Sun Chevrolet, where she had worked as the office manager for many years. Mrs. Lynn played the piano and organ and gave lessons in her home for a number of years. Her children were the love of her life, her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and her great-grandchildren were very precious to her. She was overjoyed to meet her newest great-grandchild, Charlotte, on her 83rd birthday in May. Mrs. Lynn was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church, where she was a former deaconess. On December 24, 1953, she married Robert Ralph Jones, who died August 30, 1982. On July 19, 1997, she married Ray Allen Lynn, who died February 28, 2008. Surviving are two sons, Robert Jones (Barbara) of Montgomery, New York, and David Jones (Mary) of Johnstown; two daughters, Cheryl Hayden and Pamela Schleicher (Joseph), both of Washington; two brothers, William Beeler of Houston and H. Norman Beeler of Amherst, Ohio; three sisters, Carolyn Myatt of Houston, Beverly Carawan of Warrenton, Virginia, and Sally Keeler of Davis, Florida; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Rachel, Keely, Steven, Mackenzie, Joseph, Michael and Matt; and five great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Emily, T.J., A.J., and Malia. Deceased is a sister, Marion Beatty.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held in Abundant Life Baptist Church, Washington, on Wednesday, June 25th, from 10 till 11 a.m., the time of a funeral service, with Rev. George Garancosky officiating. Burial will follow in Pigeon Creek Cemetery.
