Michael Roger Brown, Sr., 68, of Burgettstown, died on Thursday, June 19, 2014, in the Donnell House.
He was born on August 20, 1945, in Avella, a son of the late Joseph S. and Cleo P. Randolph Brown.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Brown served from November 5, 1965, until his honorable discharge on November 3, 1967.
For his service, he was awarded the Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, two Overseas Service Bars, and the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge.
He had been a delivery driver for Bill’s Furniture Store.
On June 5, 1965, he married Peggy Joyce Shoup, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Michael R. (Amy) Brown, Jr., two daughters, Michelle Campbell, of Las Vegas, and Melissa (John) Peters, of Romulus, MI, three brothers, Norman (Arleta) Brown, of Waynesburg, Roy Brown, of Sarasota, FL, and Walter Brown, of Westland, 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, William S. Brown.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation or services.
Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
