Hazel Catherine Thompson, 88 of Washington, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Presbyterian Senior Care.
She was born March 14, 1926 in Washington, the daughter of Newton A. Berdine and Adda May Ewing Berdine.
Hazel was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.
On September 24, 1954 she married Mont O. Thompson, who died July 3, 1993.
Surviving are three daughters, Peggy Berdine, Barbara (Mark) Marshman and Teresa Funk, all of Washington; two sisters, Dorothy (Buddy) Rist of Texas, Frances Swihart of Washington; six grandchildren, Mariko, Nikki and Mark Jr. Marshman, Tyler, Emily and Owen Funk; a great grandchild, Myla Rae Marshman.
Deceased are six brothers, James Arthur and Arthur James who died in infancy and Howard, Harold, Albert, Glen, five sisters, Nellie, Ruth, Helen, Jean and Margaret.
Friends will be received Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Home, 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Steve Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
