Harry Leo Phillips Jr.

Harry Leo Phillips Jr., 76 of Washington, died Tuesday June 24, 2014 at the Donnell House following a 6-year illness. He was born March 15, 1938 in Washington, the son of the late Harry L. Phllips Sr. and Virginia McGary Phillips. Harry was a Handy Man and once worked for a glass factory. He was a member of Friendship Community Church and enjoyed walking, the outdoors and loved spending time with his grandchildren. On October 20, 1960 he married Olga Mae Dillie who died December 20, 2007. Surviving are a son Harry L. Phillips III of Washington; a daughter, Michelle L. (Michael Connor) Phillips of Washington; a step brother, Marion Wade of Virginia; four grandchildren, Cody, Lindsey, and Amber (Daniel Gray) Connor, Brandon (Kaitlyn Sasso) Phillips; one great grandchild, Levi Michael Gray. Deceased are a brother, George William who died as an infant; a stepsister, Betty Desmond. Friends will be received Saturday, June 28th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington where services will be held Monday, June 30th at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
