Paul Richard Meeks, 82, of Washington, died on Saturday, July 19, 2014, in his home.
He was born on May 13, 1932, a son of the late Earl W. and Dessie Anderson Meeks.
A graduate of Trinity High School, he was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church.
Mr. Meeks worked as a machinist for Crile Machine.
He loved hunting and fishing.
On July 17, 1954, he married Dorothy Plunkett, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Rhonda (Robert) Clark, Debra (Robert) Wilson, and Sandra (Samuel) McClenathan, all of Washington; six grandchildren, Robert (Jessica) Clark, Jr., Jamie (Andy) Burrows, Zachary (Linsi) Gault, Cassie (Travis) Ware, Megan (Brian) Hoy, and Emily McClenathan; and 7 great grandchildren.
Deceased, are a brother, Wilbur Meeks, and a grandson, Joshua Presto.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, with Rev. Lois Swestyn officiating.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
