William C. Beadling, 93, of Washington, died on Thursday, July 24, 2014, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care.
He was born on April 13, 1921, in Canonsburg, a son of the late John W., and Dora Pratton Beadling.
Mr. Beadling owned a garage in Eighty-Four, where he repaired wrecked automobiles to look like new.
He retired from Cooper Industries in 1984.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was honorably discharged on October 24, 1942.
He received good care for three years in Personal Care at Evergreen, Washington. In 2012, he was moved to Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care, where he also received excellent care.
He will be missed by his beloved Chihuahua, “Little Bit”.
On January 6, 1941, he married Ethel Wicks, who died on January 22, 2007.
Surviving are two daughters, June (George) Simpson, and Leona (Duane) DeWalt, both of Washington; a brother, Richard (Ginger) Beadling, of Florida; eight grandchildren, Michael (Denise) Dhans, Bob Dhans, Paulet (Craig) Dhans Lang, Bernadette Dhans, Tammy (Patrick) Simpson Johnson, Robert (Jessica) Beadling, Wendi Jo (Ray) Beadling Jacobs, and Chad William Beadling; twelve great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; several nieces, a nephew, and a sister-in-law, Mary Beadling, of Texas.
Deceased are a son, William J. Beadling, a daughter and son, at birth, two brothers, Charles and Francis Beadling, and a sister, Shirley Coffey Junkins.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. A memorial service and inurnment in Emmanuel Presbyterian Church Cemetery will occur at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
