Thomas Anthony Bova Jr.

Thomas Anthony Bova Jr., 79 of Washington died unexpectedly, Sunday, July 27, 2014 at home. He was born January 19, 1935 in Wheeling, WV the son of the late Thomas A. Bova Sr. and Mary Elizabeth DeFillippo. He was employed at Washington Steel Corporation for 28 years as a laborer. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Thomas was a member of the Jessop Club, Slovak Club, Veterans of Foreign Ware #927 and the Sons of Italy. He enjoyed music, playing guitar and singing and loved dogs. Surviving are two sons, Daniel Bova and Jesse Bova both of Washington; a daughter Rose Bova of Washington; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren and many friends. Deceased in addition to his parents are a son, Thomas A. Bova III and a daughter in law, Susan Lee Bova. Friends will be received Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, July 31, from 12 to 2 p.m., the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, with Pastor Robert Englert officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
