Diana Jean Johnston, 60 of Eighty Four, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in her home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born December 18, 1953 in Washington, the daughter of the the late Charles Medlen and Georganna Harris Medlen.
Diana was a homemaker and enjoyed camping, fishing, bingo, dancing and playing slot machines.
On April 1,1973 she married William Johnston who survives.
Also surviving are a son, William (Ann) Johnston Jr. of Valley Grove, WV; three brothers, John (Gloria) Medlen of Claysville, George (Ellen) Medlen of Stockdale, Edwin Medlen of Claysville, four sisters, Margaret “Peg” (Bob) Teagarden of Washington, Carol (John) Flaherty of Pittsburgh, Althalia “Patty” (Ed) Flowers of Wheeling WV, Deborah Hewitt of Washington; four grandchildren, Christian Capo, William Johnston III, Connor Johnston, Madeline Johnston (who shared the same birthday as her grandmother – the best gift); several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends.
Deceased are two brothers, Charles J. Medlen and Donald Harold Medlen; three sisters, Charlene May, Maryanne Medlen and Catherine Lavun Medlen; great niece, Kandace Renee Darnley and her best friend, her dog Wolfie.
Friends will be received Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 2 to 6 p.m. the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd, 925 Allison Ave, Washington.
