Leona Margaret Day Miller, 101, of Washington, died Saturday, September 13, 2014, in the Washington Hospital.
She was born August 13, 1913, in Morris Township, Washington County, a daughter of Arthur J. and Goldie Grimm Day.
Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Washington High School and Business College in June 1931.
She was a member of the Church of the Covenant and the Presbyterian Women’s Association.
Mrs. Miller worked in the office of the Coen Oil Company for 37 years. After retiring, she became a member of the Washington Hospital Auxiliary, serving as a volunteer for 35 years. She was a former member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club.
On April 3, 1934, she married J. Wesley Miller, who died May 21, 1999.
Surviving are a son, Theodore Miller and wife Marjorie of York Springs; three grandchildren, Lorelei Keilholtz (Steve) of York Springs, Christian Miller of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Joshua Miller (Paula) of Beverly, Massachusetts; five great-grandchildren, Andrew Keilholtz (Kyra), Emily Keilholtz LaBure (Joshua), Ryan Keilholtz, Eliana Miller and Zachary Miller; two sisters, Louise Densyer and Virginia Wagner, both of Canton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, John Sheldon Miller; and two sisters, Juanita McGuier and Maxine Snyder.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Stuart Broberg officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
