Irma “Jean” Kraeer, 87, of Washington, died on Monday, September 22, 2014, in the Canonsburg Hospital.
She was born on December 8, 1926, in Washington, a daughter of the late Guy and Inez Roberts.
Mrs. Kraeer worked as a private duty caregiver, and had previously worked at Atlas Glass and Duncan Miller.
She was a member of Friendship Community Church.
On June 12, 1949, she married Kenneth Merle Kraeer, who died on April 15, 1997.
Surviving are four sons, James Kenneth (Robin) Kraeer, of Biloxi, MS, Raymond Edward (Barbara Ann) Kraeer, of Denton, MD, John Frederick (Stacey) Kraeer, of Washington, and William Lewis (Beverly) Kraeer, of Washington; a daughter, Betty Jean Cross, of Washington, a brother, Jimmy Roberts, of Ohio, a sister, Helen Huffman; ten grandchildren, Kami, Jason, Amanda, Jessica, Jennifer, Kimberly and Kaitlyn Kraeer, Christopher and Donald Davidson, and Michael Culp; seven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Paul and Donovan Roberts, and four sisters, Dorothy Holmes, Esther Strope, Edith Amos, and Ruth Cramer.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 26, 2014, with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens.
