Mabel Alene Caldwell

Mabel Alene Caldwell, 90 of Washington, died Friday, September 26, 2014 at Golden Heights Personal Care Home. She was born February 11, 1924 in Bell Flower, CA, the daughter of the late Harry Edward Tustin and Verna Elizabeth Pettit Tustin. Mabel was a homemaker and was also employed at the Murphy’s in Burgettstown for 34 years, K-Mart in Washington for 5 years and Fashion Bug for 9 years. She was a member of Hickory United Evangelical Presbyterian Church since 1946. On January 8, 1946 she married James Audley Caldwell, who died November 17, 1993. Surviving are two sons, Gary Lee Caldwell of Istanbul, Turkey, Larry Wayne Caldwell of Hickory; a sister, Hazel Rea of Rea, PA; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. Deceased are a daughter, Cathy Sue Mitchell; a brother, Ray Edwin Tustin; a sister, Lillian Crawford. Services and burial will be held private. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington.
