Florence Brehl Ramsey, 89 of Washington, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Presbyterian Senior Care.
She was born November 6, 1924 in Washington the daughter of the late Joseph Brehl and Lena Heidelmeier Brehl.
Florence was a graduate of Washington High School and was employed at Bell Telephone, City of Washington and National Annealing Box Company.
She was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters.
She enjoyed reading, especially historical fiction, and a good pork and sauerkraut dinner.
Florence leaves a legacy of thoughtfulness, generosity and love of family. She touched the lives of all who knew her with her kind spirit.
On August 18, 1967 she married Bernard M. Ramsey who died December 23, 1995.
Survivng are many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are four brothers, Joseph, Carl, Harry and Clarence Brehl; three sisters, Helen Brehl Findlay, Gertrude Brehl and Margaret Brehl Brock.
Friends will be received Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Monday, October 13th at 10:00 a.m. at St Hilary Roman Catholic Church, 320 Henderson Ave, Washington with Father Thomas O’Neil as celebrant. Burial will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date
