Mary Louise Wall

Mary Louise Wall, 91, of Washington, died on Saturday, October 11, 2014, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care, following a lengthy three-year illness. She was born on July 25, 1923, in Washington, a daughter of H. Wiley and Mary Baker McClenathan. A graduate of Trinity High School, she was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church, where she had been very active. She was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served from April 4, 1944, until his honorable discharge as a Private First Class, on July 24, 1945. Mrs. Wall had worked at Sears, as a retail clerk, for more than ten years. She was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Grange. On April 7, 1945, she married Larry Donal Wall, who died on June 2, 1997. Surviving are three sons, Larry R. (Kathleen) Wall, of Washington, James N. (Roberta) Wall, of Washington, and Donald L. (Beth) Wall, of Canonsburg; four daughters, Linda M. (Eric) Johnson, of Hilton Head, SC, Sara Jane Wall, of Ashburn, VA, Christine L. Wall, of Washington, and Mary Jo (Anthony) Zullo, of Washington; two brothers, Frank McClenathan, of Prosperity, and Fred “Sam” McClenathan, of Washington; thirteen grandchildren, Beth (Dave) Sigur, Eric (Eric) Johnson, Larry (Tonya) Wall, Steven (Heidi) Wall, Michael (Anna) Wall, Jeremy (Tammy) Wall, Kaitlyn Wall, Jared Yocum, Jesse Yocum, Jordan Yocum, McAger Wall, Taylor Wall, and Michelle (Joe) Hutton; thirteen great grandchildren, Janie, Sophie, Luke, Georgia, Emma, Connor, Matthew, Joelle, Hannah, Lucas, Cameron, Crystal, and Lauren. Deceased, are four sisters, Jean Day, Margaret Townshend, Ellen Wilson, and Sara Cale, and two brothers, James and William McClenathan. Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, with Rev. Lois Swestyn officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty United Methodist Church, 1330 Banetown Rd., Washington, PA 15301.
