John Loren McAdams, 72, of Washington, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014, in his home.
He was born August 13, 1942, in Washington, a son of the late John Samuel and Florence Black McAdams.
An Army veteran, Mr. McAdams was a self-employed home remodeler and member of the International Painter and Allied Trades Union.
He enjoyed square dancing, storytelling, house projects, cars, motorcycles and nature.
On November 30, 1974, he married Violet Puskarich, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Shawn (Crysty) McAdams of Havertown; two daughters, Lisa (Ronald) Elliott of Brownsville and Denise McAdams of Philadelphi; a sister, Darlene (Harry) Miller of Washington; four grandchildren, Shayla, Brandie, Andrew and Jacob; a great-granddaughter, Annabelle; and a sister-in-law, Ellice McAdams.
Deceased is a brother, Ralph Edward McAdams.
Friends will be received Noon to 4 p.m., Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 27th, with Pastor Todd Stemple officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donnell House, Hospice Care of Washington Health System, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
