Edwin "Eddie" Anthony Patten

Edwin A. “Eddie” Patten, 61 of South Strabane, died Saturday, October 25, 2014 at his home. He was born August 28, 1953 in Washington the son of M. Evelyn Heffers Anderson of Washington and the late John S. Patten. Eddie was a graduate of Washington High School and became a horse trainer in 1973. He was catholic by faith and attended St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, when he was younger. He enjoyed fishing, collecting coins and had a very strong love of animals throughout his life. Surviving are a brother, John F. (Linda) Patten of Washington; a sister, Rosemary (Jim) Sickles of Washington; nieces and nephews, Megan Sickles, Ben Sickles, Ashley (Tommy) Giles, Skylar Patten; great nephews, Tyler Sickles, Trenten Giles. There will be no public visitation. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Meadows Track Chapel, 230 Race Track Road, Washington, with Pastor Joe DiDonato officiating. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Memorial Donations can be made to an animal related charity of your choice.
