John Lester Sayre

John Lester Sayre, 57 of Washington, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Washington Hospital. He was born June 22, 1957, the son of the late Arthur Sayre and Johnetta Armstrong Sayre. John served in U.S. Army as a combat engineer. John was a concrete worker for 13 years at Burrell Industries. He was a longtime member of the American Pool Association. On June 29, 1983, he married Sandra Jackson, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Amber (Joseph Dziak) Sayre of Bentleyville, Brandy (Rodney) Dziak of Cokeburg; a brother, Lawrence Sayre of Washington; two sisters, Ruth Barbour of Nashville, TN and Jonnitta (Terry) Ammonette of Nashville TN; five grandchildren, Robert, Lindsey and Hunter Neely, Ryder and Warrik Dziak; several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Burial will take place at a later date.
