Rev. Raymond G. Beech, 83 of Carnegie died Friday, October 31, 2014 at St. Clair Hospital.
He was born January 2, 1931 in Elrama the son of the late Clarence Beech and Jennie Chiappini.
Raymond served in the U.S. Army, where he received an Occupation Medal.
He was a graduate of Monongahela High School and was employed at Equitable Gas Co, for 37 years. He also worked as a Chaplin at Washington County Jail.
He was a member and a deacon at Liberty Baptist Church, and a member of the Dormont-Mt. Lebanon Sportsman Club.
Ray enjoyed hunting and target practice and his loving pet Maggie.
On October 18, 1975 he married Garnet Feldman who died December 13, 2008.
Surviving are a son, Michael A. (Sharmon) Beech of Sewickley Heights; two daughters, Karen A. Criss of Canonsburg, and Kathleen E. Barone of Richeyville; four step sons, Robert C. (Michelle) Lanz Jr. of Houston, TX, Christopher J. Lanz of Eighty Four, Jay E. (Lynn) Lanz of Johnson City, NY, Joel E. (Pam) Lanz of Appalachian, NY; four step daughters, Barbara A. Lanz of FL, Mary Beth Kerr of Columbus, OH, Patricia J. (David) Shepley of Upper St. Clair, Joan E (Mark) Angus of Gahanna, OH; five grandchildren, Sandra Sapko, Emily Crouse, Natalie Meiers, Michael Beech II, and Edison Beech; 17 step grandchildren; and 6 step great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a stepson, Thomas W. Lanz.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 6 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Ave, Washington.
