Verna “Vicki” Marie Craig, 67, of Washington, died on Friday, October 31, 2014, in Townview Personal Care home, Canonsburg, following a brief illness.
She was born on June 29, 1947, in Washington, a daughter of Marie Gabrielli McFeely, of Washington, and the late Earl C. McElroy.
A graduate of Washington High School, she also graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where she majored in commercial advertising and art.
She had worked at J.C. Penney’s for more than thirty years, as the visual merchandise manager, and then at Giant Eagle for ten years, as a food demonstrator.
Mrs. Craig enjoyed art and painting, but the pride and joy of her life was her grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a son, Casey (Jody) Craig, of Waynesburg; a brother, Daniel (Beverly) McElroy, of Virginia; and two grandchildren, Connor, and Amelia Craig.
Friends will be received on Monday, November 3, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the times of services, with Rev. David Earnest officiating.
