Mitchell Alan Hayes

Mitchell Alan Hayes, 20, of West Alexander, died unexpectedly Sunday, November 30, 2014. He was born July 18, 1994, in Pittsburgh, a son of Joshua Hayes and Sherry Burnsworth Hayes. Mr. Hayes was a graduate of McGuffey High School and worked for Sarris Candies. He enjoyed riding quads, dirt bikes, swimming and the outdoors. Surviving are a sister, Shana Lee Hayes; a nephew, Zaiden Curtis Moore; paternal grandmother Melinda Carter of North Carolina; maternal grandmother Shelley Carlton of Taylorstown; maternal grandfather Charles Wesley Burnsworth III of Claysville; many cousins; and his girlfriend, Kitera Yerkey of Claysville. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 4. Burial is private.
