Arlene R. Kauffman

Arlene R. Kauffman, 83 of Washington died, Sunday, November 30, 2014, following a lengthy illness. She was born September 23, 1931 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late John G. Roof and Geneva Lutz Roof. She was a graduate of Washington High School and worked at the Washington Hospital as a medical secretary. She also was an instructor of business at Penn Commercial, which was her family business when younger. She last worked as a sales associate at J.C. Penney’s. She was a Steelers Fan and loved Elvis and her dog Angel. Her favorite movie was Dirty Dancing. Surviving are two sons, John (Linda Linkhart) Kauffman of Longmont, CO, James (Wendy) Kauffman of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Denise A. (Robert) Bristor of Washington, Diana Louden of Clearwater, FL; three grandchildren, Heather Louden, Chelsea Louden and Jamie Louden. At the request of the deceased all services are private.
