Thomas Richard O’Shell, 80 of Hudson, Florida, formerly of Washington, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in Hudson, Florida.
He was born November 26, 1934 in Altoona the son of the late Paul W. O’Shell and Jennie Gonsman O’Shell.
He graduated from Holidaysburg High School and worked for Richmond Brothers for over 30 years.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and was the past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He belonged to many civic organizations and enjoyed golfing, playing pool and fishing.
On May 8, 1954 he married Angeline “Angie” M. Verbonitz who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Thomas P. (Kathy) O’Shell of Washington; two daughters, Karen O’Shell of McKinleyville, CA, Amy McCoy of Chicago, IL; two brothers, his twin, Daniel (Sandy) O’Shell of Pelham, AL, Paul (Marty) O’Shell of Mims, FL; a sister, Emma Jean Lovell of Holidaysburg, PA; five grandchildren, Matthew McCoy, Timothy McCoy, Patrick O’Shell, Nathan O’Shell and Jessica Ankrom.
Deceased is a sister, Marilyn Muri.
Friends will be received Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 2 to4 at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Main Street, Claysville. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
