Donald Lee Berry, 79 of Pittsburgh, died Friday, January 30, 2015 at Mercy Hospital.
He was born December 13, 1935 in Burgettstown, the son of the late Warren Berry and Thelma Lewis Berry.
He graduated with degrees from both Washington & Jefferson College and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and was employed as an engineer in the telecommunications industry.
He was a member of Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church where he was the church organist and choir director. He enjoyed golf, woodworking and carpentry, traveled extensively and performed volunteer work for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
He was married to Sandra Lee Debbis who died September 3, 2009.
Surviving are a son, David Berry of Washington; two daughters, Elaine (Randy) Bigler and Lynn Berry both of Washington; a sister, Thalia (Bill) Shelton of Washington; nine grandchildren: Brent and Hunter Bigler; Joshua, Olivia and Tasha Berry; Audrey Hamilton; Jennifer, Neal and Caitlan Yakopin; five great grandchildren; a nephew, Bill Shelton of NC and a niece, Kim Pacilla of Washington.
At the request of the deceased there will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Ave, Washington.
