Nancy Lee Thomas Simonelli, 63, of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Taylorstown, PA, passed away February 4, 2015, after a long battle with heart and lung disease.
She was born May 7, 1951, in Washington, PA, a daughter of the late Bryan Thomas, Jr. and late Helen Jerry Livingood Thomas.
Nancy graduated from McGuffey High School in 1969. She was employed by Denny’s Restaurant for more than 20 years in Washington, PA and Sarasota, FL. She also worked for Servisair at Sarasota Airport for many years.
Nancy loved travelling to see family and friends, playing slots at the casino and spending time with her beloved dog, Buddy.
On January 12, 1974, she married George Simonelli of Bradenton, FL, who survives.
Also surviving are 5 daughters Jodi Lynne (Russell) Rush of Washington, PA, Lori (Jason) Allen of Washington, PA, Christie (James Casey) Evon of Ocala, FL, Tammie (David) Lisiecki of Nevillewood, PA, Jaimie (Michael) Garrett of Bradenton, FL; one son George (Angie) Simonelli, Jr. of Ruckersville, VA; one sister, Paula (Michael Kelly) Thomas of Scotland, United Kingdom; 14 grandchildren, Kayla (David) Reed, Richard (Shae Musolino) Tyler Hull, Audrey Rush, Allison Rush, Nicole (Dan) Pinchok, Cody Walters, Zachary Evon, Austin Cooper, Noah Nickerson, Brittany Windsheimer, Hannah Windsheimer, Nick Simonelli, Morgan Garrett and Joshua Garrett; 3 great-grandchildren Connor, Maddie and Kenzie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other extended family members.
Deceased are a sister, Judith Ann Thomas Samples, and a brother, James Bryan Thomas.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 12th. Burial will follow in Upper Buffalo Cemetery.
