Caryn Lynn Ankrom-Verno, 54, of Bentleyville, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, in her home.
She was born on June 10, 1960, in Eighty-Four, a daughter of the late Theodore and Mae Beckwith Ankrom.
A 1978 graduate of Washington Christian School, she also received a degree from Penn Commercial Business School.
Mrs. Ankrom-Verno had worked for many years as an executive Assistant for Carvern Productions, and most recently had worked as a Teller for PNC Bank in Richeyville and Bentleyville.
She was a member of Central Assembly of God, in Houston, where she actively volunteered in the church nursery. Caryn loved her church, and her church family, and especially loved leading others to know Jesus Christ as their Savior, enabling friends and family to spend eternity together.
A fantastic cook, she enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, baking, and traveling.
On May 15, 1993, she married Carmine P. Verno, who died on April 22, 2015.
Surviving, are a stepdaughter, a brother, Theodore Albert (Roxanne) Ankrom, of Fredericktown, two sisters, Janet Mae (Ron) Whitaker, of Conroe, TX, and Diane Marlane (James, Jr.) Tush, of Eighty-Four, two step grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, Larry Duane Ankrom, and two nephews, Clinton Whitaker and Troy Ankrom.
Friends will be received on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2015, with Pastor Stephen Getchell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Claysville Cemetery.
