Kenneth Clutter “Duke” Hixenbaugh, 78, of Claysville, died on Friday, November 6, 2015, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born on July 25, 1937, in Washington, a son of the late Thomas and Blanche Swartzlander Hixenbaugh.
Mr. Hixenbaugh was the owner of Hixenbaugh’s Personal Care Home.
He was Baptist by faith.
Surviving are his wife, Inez Henderson Hixenbaugh; five daughters, Betty Kay Black, Tamara Ann, Tonia (Jon) Frye, Margie (Dan) Templeton, and Barbara (Joseph) Bartrug; two sisters, Marjorie (William) Shape, and Daisy Wolfe; eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
Deceased are a granddaughter, Christina Oliver; and eight siblings, Ed Knight, Dorothy Crow, Loretta Clutter, JoAnn Long, Robert Hixenbaugh, Thomas Hixenbaugh, Donald Hixenbaugh, and Shirley Chambers.
Friends will be received on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Will “Ed” Nicholson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
