Betty A. Sowers

Betty Agnes Horn Sowers, 97, of Washington, died June 1, 2016, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care. She was born January 30, 1919, a daughter of Leslie and Mame Boyd Horn. Mrs. Sowers was a graduate of Trinity High School and was a homemaker. On December 22, 1936, she married Woodrow Wilson Sowers, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Roy Sowers (Bonnie); a grandson, Robert Sowers, both of the state of California; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, Roy Horn; a sister, Irene Hainer; and two granddaughters. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 6th. Burial will follow in Lone Pine Cemetery.
