Sharon Lynn Johnston

Sharon Lynn Johnston, 73, of Washington, died Monday, June 20, 2016, in Washington Hospital. She was born May 9, 1943, in Washington, a daughter of the late Theodore and Martha Paul Paxton. A homemaker, Mrs. Johnston enjoyed cooking, gardening, and going to yard sales and flea markets. She was looked upon as a decorating specialist for her neighbors. Surviving are a son, Keith (Deborah) Plants of Hanover; two daughters, Robin Plants of Pittsburgh and Michelle Plants of Claysville; eight grandchildren, Joshua Plants, “Little Wes” Plants, Ashleigh Plants, David Plants, Whitney Plants, Jessica Plants, Megan Morris and Shaniah Hobbs; and 16 great-grandchildren. Deceased is a son, Wes Plants. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 24th, with Pastor Daniel Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, East Finley.
