Doug "Bear" Morris

Doug “Bear” Morris, 64, of Washington, died unexpectedly, June 22, 2016, in his home. He was born September 10, 1951, in Washington, a son of the late D. Edward and Eleanor Sheldon Morris. Following Eleanor’s death, he was raised by Edward and Mildred Lutes Morris. Mr. Morris graduated from Washington High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Western Kentucky University. He worked as a machine operator at Dynamet. Mr. Morris was a member of Pulaski Club, enjoyed golf, and was a sports fan. He loved solving crossword puzzles and reading. Mr. Morris was Presbyterian by faith. Surviving are a brother, Daniel (Kathy) Morris; two sisters, Pat Lutes and Carrie (William) Allen, all of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, Marvin Lutes, and a nephew, Edward Andy Lutes. Friends will be received from 6 to 7:30 p.m., the time of service, on Monday, June 27th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
