Richard Crane Briant, III, 41, of Washington, died on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, in Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills, PA.
He was born on July 13, 1975, in Washington, a son of Richard C. (Darlene) Briant, Jr., of Prosperity, and Janice Virginia Swoger Smith, of Morgantown, WV.
Richard had been a truck driver and worked construction for various local companies.
A collector of antique bottles, he was excellent at pool, having played on a league for three years.
He loved to sing, and enjoyed karaoke. Richard loved the outdoors, adventures, hiking and fishing. He never knew a stranger, and was always willing to help people, and made them laugh.
Surviving are his fiancée, Virginia Wadsworth, of Washington; two sons, Matthew and Elijah Briant, both of Ruckersville, VA; two daughters, Victoria Briant, of West Alexander, and Katlyn Briant, of Washington; five brothers, Stephen (Diane) Briant, of Moon Township, Wyatt (Wendy) Briant, of Washington, Wesley (Christy) Briant, of Washington, Zachary King, of Morgantown, WV, and Rodney Horner-Smith, of Parkersburg, WV; three sisters, Marjorie (Raymond) Ruschel, of Washington, April (Sean) Ellis, of Kennesaw, GA, and Amber Briant (Mark Parkinson), of Prosperity; a grandchild, Conner Allen, of West Alexander; and his two best friends, Joey Daniels, of Claysville, and George Simonelli, of Ruckersville, VA.
Friends will be received on Friday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Craig Bellis officiating.
Burial will follow in West Alexander Cemetery.
