John Frederick Clemens Jr., 62 of Slippery Rock, died Monday, August 1, 2016 at Butler Hospital.
He was born December 19, 1952 in Washington, the son of the late John Frederick Clemens Sr. and Mildred “Midge” Loughman Clemens.
John attended Trinity High School and was a truck driver for Pitt Ohio, Decker and Aero.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and member of the American Legion West Sunbury Post #243. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his dog, Star.
On November 18, 1972 he married, Joyce Yurkovich, who died December 2, 1992.
Surviving are a son, John F. Clemens III of Washington; a step son, Brian Clemens; a daughter, Crystal Clemens of Slippery Rock; a brother, Jim (Rhonda) Clemens of Washington; a sister, Belinda (Bill) DeBee; four grandchildren, Brylee and Rand Grossman, Shelby and Mason Clemens.
Deceased is a sister, Mary Jane Orsky.
Friends will be received Friday, August 5, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post #175.
