Peggy Irene Mazzie

Peggy Irene Mazzie, 87 of Washington, died Friday, August 19, 2016 at home. She was born August 2, 1929 in Burgettstown, the daughter of the late Angelo Gelestor and Esther Holland Gelestor. Peggy was a graduate of Burgettstown High School and was a homemaker. She was a long time member of New Hope Church. Peggy was very active with her grandchildren and great grandchildren sporting events and enjoyed caring for her family and her home. She wintered in Florida for 20 years and very much enjoyed her time with family and friends in Florida. On August 1, 1958 she married Donald Mazzie, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Louis Mazzie of Washington; a daughter, Karen Powell of Washington; five grandchildren, Rachel Powell, Joshua Radomski, Tyler Mazzie, Cassie Richmond and Laurel Richmond; six great grandchildren, Robert, Mason, Julius, Bryleigh, Waylon and Larry. Deceased is a sister, Rose Marie Whitcraft. Friends will be received Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Thomas Bellhy officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
