Frances F. Brown, 99 of Washington, died Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Washington Hospital.
She was born November 14, 1917 in Washington, the daughter of the late William H. Thomas Sr. and Molly Anderson Thomas. She was born in the house her father built and was delivered by a mid-wife.
Frances worked at the George Washington Hotel in housekeeping.
She was saved and believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.
Frances loved to listen to the radio and watch Dancing with the Stars.
On April 21, 1946, she married Clarence E. Brown, who died January 22, 1999.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
She was like a mother to her niece and caregiver, Sandy Fields, and her nephew, Randolph T. Lewis Sr., who is deceased.
Deceased are two brothers, William H. Thomas Jr. and Rufus “Allen” Thomas; four sisters, Katy Thomas, Daisy Burks, Margaret Lewis and Mary Saunders.
Friends will be received Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 10 to 11:00 a.m. the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington with Rev. Michael Singo officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn.
