Charles "Reggie" R. Grose

Charles R. “Reggie” Grose, 72, of Hickory, died on Sunday, February 19, 2017, in the Donnell House. He was born on March 13, 1944, in Washington, a son of the late Walter R. and Lois J. Alexander Grose. Reggie was a graduate of McGuffey High School. Mr. Grose was a member of North Buffalo Presbyterian Church, where he had been extremely active in the choir and as a session member. He was a longtime agent and financial planner for Met Life, during which time he received multiple certifications in insurance and financial planning. He owned and operated Club 31 in Washington for eleven years, most recently he was an independent agent for NSS Life Company, and was a van driver for GG&C. He was a longtime volunteer fireman in Taylorstown, and served as Fire Chief for several years. Reggie was a fifty-year member of Claysville Masonic Lodge #447. He was a very family-oriented man, who loved spending time with his family. On March 14, 1991, he married Roma Caroline Dillon, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Mark (Rhonda) Grose, of Myrtle Beach, SC, and David (Carey) Boyd, of Weirton, WV; two daughters, Terri Lynn (Brad) Zrimm, of Avella, and Terri Jo (Richard) DiCarlo, of Steubenville, OH; a brother, David (Joanne) Grose, of Cincinnati, OH; a sister, Ruth (Randy) Shook, of Claysville; and five grandchildren, Lauren Mersky, Linsey Mersky, Alex DiCarlo, Adam DiCarlo, and Parker Boyd. Deceased are a brother, Fred Grose, and a sister, Carol Ruetschi. Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Thursday, February 23, 2017, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to North Buffalo Presbyterian Church, 711 Rural Valley Rd., Washington, PA 15301.
