Keith Robert Ellis, Sr.

Keith Robert Ellis, Sr., 63, of Washington, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017, surrounded by his family, following a brief illness. He was born on July 10, 1953, in Washington, a son of the late James Ellis, Sr., and Susan Harton Ellis. Keith was employed by Jessop Steel for thirty-nine years, until his retirement. An avid fisherman and hunter, he also enjoyed boating, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Ellis was a member of the Jessop Club, where he had served as vice president, the VFW, and Sons of the Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion. He had a light-hearted nature, and was known for his funny one-liners, and his dance moves. Surviving are two sons, Keith (Nicole) Ellis, Jr., and Bryan (Sandra) Ellis, both of Wikes-Barre; two daughters, Angela (Joey) Dodge, from Artesia, NM, and Brittany Ellis, of Washington; a sister, Evelyn Ellis; his significant other, Michele Malmgren, and her daughter, Ashley Phillippi; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, James Ellis, Jr., and a granddaughter, Caryssa. Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, from 3 to 7 p.m., the time of services, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301.
