Kelley Patience "Kellie" Reska, 60, of Washington, died March 17, 2017, in Donnell House. She was born November 2, 1956, in Highland Park, Mich., the only daughter of Don Steven Howarth of Las Cruces, N.M .and the late Rolene "Renee" Condon Howarth. A former schoolteacher, Mrs. Reska taught elementary education in Ypsilanti, Mich., for 16 years and also served as a substitute teacher in the Washington area for several years. She was an alumnus of John Glenn High School and Northern Michigan University, and earned her master's degree in education from Eastern Michigan University. Described as a beautiful person inside and out, she will be remembered for the love and care she showed to friends and family alike. She would do anything for those she loved. She loved Turner Classic Movies, HGTV, cooking shows, the ocean and her cat, Candy. Her favorite movie was "It's A Wonderful Life." Her fondest memories were of holidays and vacations spent with family and friends. A devoted wife and mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Ed Reska, and daughter Rachel Reska of Washington. Also surviving are her father, Don (Evelyn) Howarth of Las Cruces; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dave Kolick and Claire Reska Kolick of Brownsville; and her niece, Caitlin Kolick, also of Brownsville. She will be missed by many, including her best friend, Tracy Muncie of Washington and good friends Jerry and Sandy Friebis, also of Washington.
