Dorothy Lee Henderson

Dorothy Lee (Dot) Henderson, 74 of Washington, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at The Donnell House. She was born June 2, 1936, in Washington, the daughter of James B. Culbertson and Diana Dixie Weirich Culbertson. Dot was a 1954 graduate of Trinity High School. She later worked as a private slipcover maker, waitress and hostess. She continued to work when she wintered in Black Canyon City, AZ at the Rock Spring’s Café. She enjoyed Bingo, Studying her Bible, Family and Friendships. Dorothy was a devout Christian who attended The Fountain of Life Church in Washington, Pa and Women’s Bible studies in Arizona with her friends. On June 23, 1958, she was married to Kenneth L. Henderson who survives. She is the last remaining member of her immediate family. Dorothy was proceeded in death by her father: James B. Culbertson, Mother: Diana Weirick Culbertson and brothers: David Culbertson and her twin James Culbertson. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Kenneth Henderson, Sons: Keith (Nancy) Henderson of Canonsburg, Kurt (Stephanie) Henderson of Westerville, Oh and Kevin (Nancy) Henderson of Westerville, Oh and 4 grandchildren, Zack, Bethany, Breanna and Kaitlin. A Memorial celebration service will be held at Fountain of Life Church, 2101 Old National Pike, Washington, PA 15301 on Saturday, August 21st at 4:00pm followed by a pot luck meal. Memorial donations may be made to Donnell House, Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington PA 15301. William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington, is in charge of arrangements.
