Violet E. Steele

Violet Elizabeth “Bunny” Steele, 98, of Washington, died Sunday, August 22, 2010, at Humbert Lane Personal Care Home. She was born on January 5, 1912, in Graysville, a daughter of William C. and Oma G. Goodwin Steele. Miss. Steele Had worked as a teller for Mellon Bank for 40 years. She was a member of Friendship Community Church. She enjoyed bowling, golf, riding bicycles, and she made great candy. Miss. Steele was a graduate of Carmichaels High School and attended Penn Commercial College. Deceased are 2 brothers, Paul and Don Steele and a sister, Madge Steele. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2010, at the Library in Humbert Lane Personal Care Home, with Rev. James Neuman and Pastor Floyd Marasco officiating.
