Victor George Bober, 68, of Washington, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, April 6, 2010.
He was born April 19, 1941, in Washington, a son of Walter and Viola Garbinski Bober.
Mr. Bober was a graduate of Trinity High School and worked as a utility man for Allegheny Power for 38 years.
Mr. Bober was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, woodworking and sports.
He was looking forward to the birth of his first great-grandchild.
On April 28, 1962, he married June Beatty, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jeff (Kris) Bober and Mark Allen (Lucy) Bober, both of Washington; a brother, Theodore Bober of Lone Pine; a sister, Caroline Butka of Meadowlands; and three grandchildren, Markie (Matt) Karlowsky, Victoria Bober and Christian “Buzzy” Bober.
Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 10th, in Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Ed DeLair officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
