Eleanor Rose Rossell, 79, of Washington, died Monday, April 5, 2010, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
She was born October 6, 1930, in Duquesne, a daughter of Alexander Sandor and Rose Dudas Marakovszky.
Mrs. Rossell was a graduate of Duquesne High School.
She was a clerk at Jim's Stop and Shop in Prosperity of 20 years and was employed at U.S. Steel in Homestead for 16 years.
Mrs. Rossell enjoyed taking care of her family, playing cards, traveling with friends and gardening.
Surviving are two sons, Clinton James Rossell of Idaho Springs, Colo., and Lawrence Paul Rossell of Prosperity; a brother, Zoltan Markosky of Pittsburgh; and her former husband, Benjamin Rossell.
Deceased are two brothers, Alex and Bill, and three sisters, Helen, Margaret and Irene.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Home Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 9, with hospice Chaplain Jim Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
