Arthur Deys, 91, of Washington, formerly of New York, died Sunday, August 15, 2010, in his residence.
He was born September 28, 1918, in Rochester, New York, a son of William and Cornelia Kinderdyke Deys.
Mr. Deys was an auto mechanic at Authurton Garage for 40 years.
He enjoyed camping, fishing and woodworking.
Mr. Deys was a member of Emanuel United Methodist Church.
On August 11, 1956, he married Elsie Flint, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Arthur (Patricia) Deys, Jr., of Parker, Colorado, and Bruce A. (Mary Ann) Deys of Brick, New Jersey; two daughters, Brenda (Joseph) Carey of Olympia, Washington, and Beth (Scott) Lusk of Washington; two brothers, William Deys, Jr., of Palmyra, New York, and Harry (Ruth) Deys of Rochester, New York; six grandchildren, Christian, Hope, Sarah, Christina, Jeff and Katrina; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Norman Waterman Funeral Home, Newark, New York, on Friday, August 20th, followed by burial in North Wolcott Cemetery, Wolcott, New York.
