Olive “Dotty” West, 90, of Washington, died Saturday, September 18, 2010, in the home of her daughter, Patty McDaid, of Washington.
She was born May 24, 1920, in Centerville, a daughter of Harold and Elizabeth Sumner Huseman.
Mrs. West worked for Chuck Ritter for forty years and Gabe Corabi for seventeen years.
She was Methodist by faith.
Mrs. West was a member of V.F.W. #8319 Auxiliary, where she was a former steward for fifteen years and a past president.
She enjoyed playing bingo, cooking and baking.
Mrs. West was in the care of Amedisys Hospice, Caring Mission of Area Agency on Aging. Her visiting caregiver was Sally Wise.
Surviving are a son, Earl “Bud” West, of Eighty-Four; a daughter, Patty McDaid, of Washington; a brother, George Huseman, of Uniontown; three sisters, Cathy Rucki, of Canonsburg, Jenette Huseman, of Indiana, and Dolly Huseman, of Republic; six grandchildren, Earl Pirt, Jr., Danny West, Tami Rizor, Sherri Foley, Tiffany West, and Carol Everett; eleven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Her first husband, Earl West, Sr. and second husband, Boyd Noble, are deceased.
Also deceased are three brothers, George Chrisulis, Harry Huseman, and William Huseman, one great granddaughter, Kloe Elizabeth Saffel, and two sons, who died in infancy.
Friends will be received 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
