Elizabeth Ann (Libby) Rungo

Elizabeth Ann (Libby) Rungo, 85, left this world to be with her husband James. She passed away on November 2, 2010, in Washington Hospital with her family at her side, after a brief illness. She was born February 8, 1925, in Paint Creek, West Virginia, a daughter of Angela Marie and Benjamin Andy. Libby was the beloved wife of her late husband James Rungo for 60 years. A loving mother to Linda (Mike Wetzler) Rocks of Arizona, Michael (Beth) Rungo of Arizona, Connie (Pat) Bongiorni, of McDonald PA, & James (Sue) Rungo Jr. of Houston, Pa. Grandmother to Justin, Melinda, Casey, & Shannon; Great-Grandmother to Madison, Anthony, & Sara. Also surviving are sisters, Virginia Agostinelli, Angeline Pastorial, Betty Cargnello, and Barb Shipley; a brother Albert Andy; as well as several nieces and nephews. Deceased are several brothers and sisters. Libby graduated from Washington High School, in 1943, with Honors and retired from Joy Manufacturing. A kind and gentle soul, she brought joy and laughter to everyone she met. She enjoyed camping at Big Bear Lake Campground for 35 years and will be fondly remember by all her camping friends. She was an avid reader, cross-world puzzle whiz, which she did daily, and Scrabble player. Libby loved to watch Jeopardy, and grow her vegetables as well as play bingo and watch thoroughbred horse- racing. She especially loved her Steelers. Libby was happiest when she was cooking for her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by everyone she touched. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Home, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where a Blessing Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, November 5th, with Father Thomas O’Neil officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Heritage Public Library, 52 Fourth St., McDonald, Pa. 15057
