Barbara Sue Armour, 69, of Washington, died on Thursday, May 6, 2010, at the Washington Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on April 29, 1941, in Elkins, WV, a daughter of the late Julius C. and Bernice Alberta Johnson Renner
Mrs. Armour was a graduate of Elkins High School and attended 2 years of nursing school.
She was a bookkeeper for the Washington County Housing Authority for 13 years.
Barbara was a member of the United Brethren Methodist Church in Elkins, WV.
She was a big fan of the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
On January 10, 1962, she married Vernon Edward Armour, who died on June 25, 1977.
Surviving are 2 sons, Kevin Lee (Laura) Armour, of Pataskala, OH; and Timothy E. Armour, of Washington; 2 daughters, Pamela Ann Urey, of New Stanton; and Cheryl Lynne (Brian) Hartzell, of Washington; a brother, David E. (Carol) Renner, of Tarentum, PA; and 5 grandchildren, Melissa, Alecia, Matthew, Jesse and Aaron.
Friends will be received on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at 2:00 p.m.
Burial will follow at the Washington Cemetery.
