Betty Charlotte Stamper, 82, of Washington, died Saturday, May 8, 2010, in the Washington County Health Center following a seven year illness.
She was born on September 2, 1927 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of Charles and Louise Cooper Euton.
Mrs. Stamper was a graduate of South Portsmouth High School. She was Presbyterian by faith and a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter # 427. She was a long time accomplished artist who enjoyed oil painting.
On October 15, 1949, she married William Robert Stamper who survives. Also surviving are sons, Terry William ( Jamie Lynn ) Stamper of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Robert ( Linda ) Kimsey of McClaysville, Georgia; a daughter Cheryl Luann ( Sam, Jr. ) Manfredi of Washington; brothers, Charles and Vincent Euton, both of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Wesley Clay Euton of South Shore, Kentucky; a sister Mary Ann Howell of Dayton, Ohio; several grandchildren including, Lauren Stamper, Lindsay Eichler, Jared and Ethan Manfredi; and several great-grandchildren including Landon Eichler.
She is preceded in death by sisters, Edna Storer and Norma Hogan.
Friends of Betty Charlotte Stamper, 82, of Washington, who died Saturday, May 8, 2010, will be received on Tuesday, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at 1:30 PM, in the Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
