Eva Dale Barnhart, 81, of Scenery Hill, died Saturday, May 15, 2010, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
She was born February 4, 1929, in Moundsville, West Virginia, a daughter of Aaron and Madeline Rodgers Conner.
Mrs. Barnhart was a clerk at Gee Bee’s Department Store for twenty-five years.
She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Barnhart was an auxiliary member of Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion and of Pawnee Grange.
She loved flowers, enjoyed doing word search puzzles, traveling with family and friends, and enjoyed music and dancing.
On November 24, 1948, she married Harold R. Barnhart, who died July 30, 2003.
Surviving are two sons, Garry L. (Rebecca) Barnhart, of Cranberry Township, and Kevin M. (Lori) Barnhart, of Fredericktown; a brother, Albert A. Conner, of Eighty-Four; four sisters, Doris Dawn Drozdo, of Oil City, Betty McDowell, of Washington, Martha Young, of Oil City, and Rita McDaid, of Butler; five grandchildren, Brittney, Richard, Bryce, Jordan and Grant.
Deceased are a sister, Roxie Nicholls, and a daughter, who died in infancy.
Friends will be received 5 to 9 p.m., Monday, and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, MAY 19, 2010, in Church of Christ, 700 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray.
