Leona Linton

Leona Frances Linton, 82, of Washington, died Sunday, July 25, 2010, in her home. She was born December 22, 1927, a daughter of the late Stephen and Hazel Johnson. Mrs. Linton was a homemaker who enjoyed her grandchildren, bingo and the Pirates. On October 2, 1948, she married Walter Linton, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Sandra Wise and husband Terry; a son, Stephen Linton and wife Cathy; two grandchildren, Courtney and William Wise; and two sisters, Jane Bishop and Marie Farley. Deceased are brothers Charles, Clarence, George, Delbert, Walter, Earnest, Melvin and Robert; and sisters Louise Hoff and Loretta Shanor. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 28th.
