Kenneth Albert Lee, 46, of Prosperity, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010.
He was born March 21, 1964, in Washington, a son of Arlena Ealy Lee of Prosperity and the late Kenneth E. Lee.
In 1982, Mr. Lee graduated from McGuffey High School.
He enlisted in the Marines on July 16, 1982, and served until his honorable discharge on June 15, 1986, with a rank of corporal. Mr. Lee was a rifleman while in the Marines and was awarded the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Mast, and Letter of Appreciation.
In 2006, he retired from the Federal Correctional Institution – Bennettsville (South Carolina).
Mr. Lee was a member of Hart Avenue Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed outdoor activities, especially fishing, hunting, golfing and boating.
Surviving are his wife, Amanda Pate Lee; two sons, Brian Lee of McDonald and Seth Lee of Laurinburg, North Carolina; a daughter, Cassie Lee of Pittsburgh; two brothers, his twin Keith Lee of Georgia and Kevin (Lisa) Lee of Washington; and two sisters, Katrina Lee of Claysville and Kimberly Lee of Prosperity; grandmother, Alva Ealy of Prosperity; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Monday, October 4th, at 2:30 p.m., with Pastor James York officiating. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
