Robert DeMoyde Clutter, 71, of Washington, died Monday, September 6, 2010, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, following a five-year illness.
He was born June 12, 1939, in Washington, a son of the late DeMoyde and Mary Ellen Guthrie Clutter.
Mr. Clutter served in the Army and Army Reserves, and worked at Pennsylvania Transformer for 30 years.
He was a member of the Jessop Club, Pulaski Club, Polish Club, Slovak Club, Taylorstown American Legion, the VFW, and Sunset Lodge 623. Mr. Clutter was also a life member of L.O.O.M. 22, where he earned a Fellowship Degree and was past Governor.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
Surviving are a son, Robert D. Clutter; a daughter, Kimberly Kloster, both of Washington; a sister, Mary Jane (Raymond) Parkinson, of Lagonda; four grandchildren, Rebecca Kloster, Michaela Clutter, Cortney Clutter and Robbie Garcia; his companion, Mary Comfort; and his former wife, Barbara Ann Veltri Clutter, with whom he lived prior to his illness.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 10th, with Rev. Michael Singo officiating. The Loyal Order of Moose will hold services at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
