Roy “Junior” Johnson, 72, of Washington, died on Friday, August 13, 2010, at the Donnell House.
He was born on October 18, 1937, in Berkeley, WV, a son of the late Ethel Johnson.
Mr. Johnson had worked for Jessop Steel as a sheet mill inspector for 33 years.
He was Baptist.
Roy enjoyed watching football on television, especially the Steelers, and spending time with his children.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
On December 8, 1958, he married Eleanor Chandler, who died on April 12, 2003.
Surviving are 2 sons, Roy “Jackie” Johnson, Jr. and Lawrence Johnson, both of Washington; 2 daughters, Cheryl and Kim Johnson, both of Washington; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Ethel “Reni” Johnson.
Friends will be received on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA., where a service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., with Elder Myron C. Jones, II officiating.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
